傅新民


傅新民,号新萌,1949年6月生于江西南昌,就职于厦门。系著名当代艺术家,中国美术家协会会员、中国根艺美术大师、福建省雕塑学会会长。从事艺术创作50多年。近20多年来的当代艺术创作,集中于对生命,对自然和人类生存空间、生存状态的关注和思考。以实现人与自然的和谐为核心主题,先后创作了《织造》、《穿行》、《裂变》、《蜕变》、《凝固的风景》、《感悟》、《对话》、《规正》、《流淌》既独立又互相联结的九大系列作品,逐渐建构了一个完整的系统,概括为:宇宙创造了大千世界,万物依律而行,认识人类,感悟自然,不断对话、反思并探寻事物发展,运行的规律、秩序,终将实现人与自然的和谐。

      自上世纪九十年代以来,傅新民多次举办过现代艺术个展,他的现代雕塑作品参加过中国第十届、第十一届美术展览,首届中国国际建筑艺术双年展,第二届中国北京国际美术双年展,奥运景观国际雕塑大赛巡展,中国姿态•中国首届雕塑展,第九届上海双年展等多次国际、国内大型展览并获奖。他的现代水墨画作品应邀先后在美国波士顿、纽约、西班牙巴塞罗那、荷兰祖特梅尔、日本琦玉越谷、瑞典马尔默、新加坡、马来西亚、韩国等地展出。已出版过十余本现代雕塑、现代水墨画专著。多件作品先后被中国美术馆、上海城市雕塑中心、成都现代艺术馆、厦门艺术中心、奥运博物馆、中央电视台、清华大学、厦门大学等地收藏。已出版过十余本现代雕塑、现代水墨画专著。先后被福州大学、集美大学、厦门大学等高校聘为客座教授、研究生导师。

FuXin-Min,Also called Xin-meng for themeaning of a new bud, was born in 1949 at Nan-chang city,Jiang-Xi Province.Heis a famous cemporary artist in China with a quite long artistic career morethan 50 years, a member of Chinese Artists and Chinese Root Art Master, alsoacting as the Chairman of Sculpture Institute in Fujian province.In theserecent 20 years,Fu-xinmin’s contemparory art creations focus on concerning andthinking about nature,universe and human being’s life, living space,livingconditions and living dilemma. He has created Nine series works mutuallydependent on each other for more than 20 years and gradually formed a completeartistic system,which includs:Weave Series, Traverse Series, Fission Series,Metamorphosis Series, Frozen Landscape Series, Comprehension Series, DialogueSeries, Adjustment Series, and Flowing and Dripping Series.The main ideas ofThese 9 series works can be summarized in these sentences:universe creates thebig big world, and everything in the world revolves according to its inherentlaws. so the human beings should congnize and feel nature as also dialogue andreflect to it, then seek to the orders and disciplines of the development andmovement of the things, finally realize the harmony between man and nature.Since the 1990 s, Mr Fu xinmin has held a solo exhibition of modern art, and hehas participated in modern sculpture works had attended the 10th, the 11thChina fine arts exhibition, the first China international art biennale, secondBeijing international art biennale, Olympic landscape sculpture internationalcompetition, roadshow, China's stance•China's first sculpture exhibition,The ninthShanghai biennale and so on many international and domestic large-scaleexhibition and awards.Modern ink painting of his works were invited tosuccessively in Boston, New York, Barcelona, Spain, the Netherlands progenitor,MEL, Japan saitama and dales, and hast breathed through malmo, Sweden,Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and other places. More than 10 modernsculptures and modern ink paintings have been published.Lots of his works hasrecieved various awards and have been collected by many museums such asNational Art Museum Of China(NAMOC), Modern Art Gallery of Chengdu, ShanghaiMunicipal Sculpture Center of China, and the Art Center of Xiamen and TsinghuaUniversity, Xiamen University, etc.More than a dozen books about his art workshave been published.As a result of his remarkable contributions in arts fields,he has been appointed as the visiting professor and postgraduate tutor inXiamen University, Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Fuzhou University and JimeiUniversity.

 

九大系列:相互联结、密不可分

傅新民现代艺术共分为九大系列:“织造”、“穿行”、“裂变”、“蜕变”、“凝固的风景”、“感悟”、“对话”、“追序”、“流淌”。各系列之间既独立自在,又相互联结,密不可分,构成一个相互依存的整体。其中:

Fu Xinmin’s modern art consists of 9 series:Weave Series,TraverseSeries,Fission Series,metamorphosis Series,Frozen LandscapeSeries,Comprehension Series,Dialogue Series,Seeking Order Series,and Flowingand Dripping Series.These Nine series are both independent andinterconnected,with each other,forming a interdependent whole.Theinterpretation of each series as follows:

 

织造系列

   “织造”系列的主题为:将大千世界的基本状态分为造物说、天地说、规矩说,包含着艺术家独特的宇宙观、自然观和社会观;

WeaveSeries:the basic state of the wide world was indevided into Creature theory,Universe theory,Rule theory,containing the particular cosmology,conception ofnature and society of the artist.

作品说明和创意:

用球形作“骨架”,是因为它连结着大地的脊梁;用残根作“内脏”是因为它散发着泥土的芬芳。

因为色调的不一致,我感受到一种残酷的撕咬。我统一了颜色,似乎是在表现宇宙的初始、炸裂的瞬间,一切都凝固于均衡。

Description&Composition of the piece:

Theball is shaped to be the “skeleton” as it has been the bound to the earth; andthe broken roots have been used for the “bowel” for they smell the fragrance ofthe soil.

Theinconsistent colors impress me with the feeling of cruel gnawing. I harmonizethe color to symbolize the very initial explosive moment of the universe andfreeze all in equilibrium.

    “穿行”、“裂变”、“蜕变”系列主题为:对万物运动、变化规律的思考及对现实的观照、反思、追问。

因为无限扩张,浑身是芒刺。它把自己之外的一切当做打击的目标。你伤

害了世界,也必然要伤害到自己。该作品创作于海湾战争爆发时。

Description & Composition of thepiece:

excessive expansion results in thornsin one’s flesh. Whenone targets its attack at everything other than itself, it is sure to sufferfrom the damage done onto the world. The piece was created at the time of theGulf War .

 “凝固的风景”、“感悟”、“对话”、“追序”系列作品主题为:呈现人与自然关系的现状、人类对自然持有的态度,对宇宙、自然、人类普遍规律的探求;

在纯化世界的使命驱使下,用42根在铁道上退役下来又参加过厦门海上大桥和高速公路建设,在海水和泥浆中浸泡过的旧枕木和83块历经百年虫噬蚁造、风袭雨浊、疤痕沧桑的原生性块根,组合成一道景观雕塑,它是见证人类生存与自然关系的纪念碑,也是对现当代人类生存经验的反思。

Description &Composition of the piece:

Driven by the mission to purify theworld, I take 42 railway sleepers ever immersed in the seawater and mud as theywere formerly used in the construction of Xiamen Bridge and the Express wayafter their service in the railway, combining them with 83 dilapidated raw roottubes that survive the age-old erosion of weather and insect invasion, forminga landscape sculpture. It shall be the monument that witnesses the tie betweenhuman survival and the nature, as well as a reflection on the surviving experienceof modern people.

用不锈钢制作的基本几何形体去包裹原生性的须根,感受一下一种自然的有生命的东西被人为的粗暴的行为去限制、禁锢,这是当今人类生存经验需要反思的问题。

Rough geometrical shapes of stainlessiron have been used to circle the primary fibrous roots, constituting thefeeling of some natural, living things being confined and restricted byartificial atrocity. It is an issue for people to reflect on during the livingexperience.

蛹人、粗糙麻布缠裹着的形体,有人说,红色的外衣下,生命在涌动,她蕴藏着巨大的能量;还有人说,她像是个木乃尹,怎么说她都是有生命的,曾经有过生命的东西。当我把一只紧紧贴在树杆上的茧扒下来的时候,就感觉到这只有两个拇指大小的茧里面软软的蛹在蠕动,那是个小生命,它作茧自缚,是自我保护?还是代谢休整?是在孕育新的生命,待机蝶化破茧而出。这种艰难的质变,是生命的轮回运动,人类何尝不是如此。我学做女蜗,制作了无数红色的蛹人,它们注视着自己,注视着周边,也注视着这整个世界。

Description & Composition of thePiece:

The pupa persons, bodies wrapped incoarse sackcloth. Some say that there is a life wriggling underneath the redcover, she holds in store great energy; some say that she resembles a mummy.Anyhow, she has been a life, something with a life. When I pulled the cocoonoff the trunk onto which it clung, I felt the movement of soft pupa in the2-thumb-sized cocoon. In the web of its own spinning, was the little lifegetting enmeshed, or protecting itself, or nourishing itself via metabolism? Itshould be breeding a new life to break out of the cocoon to be a butterfly atthe right time. Such tough qualitative change is the rotation of life thathuman beings undergo as well. I played NǚWa to create manyred cocooned persons, making them staring at themselves, at the surroundings,and the whole universe.

用几十块钢板将数百年以上风化的树桩朽木连结组合在一起,形成一个大块面,好似一面刀枪不入的大盾牌;更像一座坚不可摧的城墙,气势雄浑。为了丰富作品的形式语言,对原生朽木和钢板作了技术上的处理,使自然的人文化,人文的自然化,达到人与自然的和谐与统一。这样做是想表现人文向自然渗透时,让人们去思考人与自然相互的作用力,在人类认识自然,改造自然的不断丰富文明成果的今天,是否更应该去思考“以天下之柔,驰骋天下之坚”的现实的科学内涵。 Description & Composition of the Piece:

A vast surface is formed out of thecombination of dozens of steel plates and rotten stumps of century-year old. Itresembles a giant, weapon-proof shield, or even an indestructible wall beinggrand and magnificent. To enrich the formal language of the work, I technicallyprocessed the raw rotten stumps and the steel plates, making nature humanized,and human naturalized, thus a harmonious combination of nature and human hasbeen achieved. It means to encourage people to ponder on the interactionbetween human and nature in manifestation human permeation through nature.Shouldn’t peoplethink more about the scientific connotation of “taming the solidity of the world withits own tenderness” inpresent-day achievements of civilization that are incessantly accumulated inthe recognition as well as reconstruction of nature by mankind?

这九大系列近千件艺术精品以杰出的艺术表现力构建了一个充满当代意识的数量众多、风格各异的完整系统。每个系列由主题意义密切相关的若干作品构成,共同建构了一个完整、丰富而充满创造力的当代艺术世界。傅新民创作的主题意蕴指向对当下全球化的生态危机、环境问题和人与自然的关系的体悟和思考,表达了对自然、人类和现代科技文明、商业文化的忧思,对普遍存在的从自然到生命、到社会、到人的精神世界全面异化的焦虑和批判,对中国传统文化“天人合一”境界的向往与复归,对自然原欲、生命力的张扬,以及走出困境、渴望新生的热切呼唤。可以说,“存在”的主题在傅新民的创作中得到了深度思考和淋漓尽致的艺术呈现。

TheseNine series mentioned above almost summed up to 1,000 pieces of works with avariety of styles and full of contemporary consciousness.Thethematic implication in his works can be seen includes much concern andthought on the present global ecological crisis,environment problems and therelationship between man and nature.Meanwhile the artist expresses the deepsorrow for the condition of nature and mankind,as well as the vigilance tomodern technological civilization and commercial culture. All of the worksintensively convey not only the anxiety and criticism on the alienation range scalefrom nature,life to the society and the human spiritual world.but alsodisplaying of life passion and force,even the eager to break though thedilemmas and begin a new life. In a word,the theme of “beings” has been sharplyconsidered and represented in Fu Xinmin’s creations.


★1999年6月,胡锦涛总书记来厦门视察,在省市领导陪同下参观了傅新民作品,深表赞赏并热情鼓励。


200年9月2005年9月
★2005年9月,第二届国际美术大展(北京双年展)在中国美术馆举行,共有69个国家参加。中国雕塑作品共入选36件,其中仅傅新民个人作品(“凝固的风景”系列)就占5件。因其作品体量巨大,五件入选作品即单独占用了中国美术馆一间展厅,傅新民及其创作受到国际艺术界瞩目。


 

2008年2月2008年2月
★2008年2月,美国波士顿帕斯艺术中心为傅新民举办现代水墨艺术个人展,向波士顿观众表达作者关于生命、人与自然的感悟和思考。这是该中心历史上第一次为中国现代水墨画家举办画展。他的现代水墨艺术,将传统水墨的典雅意境和现代观念的完美融汇,在当地引起轰动,被誉为“水墨世界的梵高”。此次个展是傅新民现代艺术与西方观众的直接“对话”,充分显示出傅新民的艺术在西方艺术界具有极强的沟通力。

 

2008年2月2008年2月
★傅新民现代艺术在国际上的强烈反响引起北欧各国热切关注和浓厚兴趣。2008年5月,五国大使(挪威、瑞典、芬兰、丹麦、冰岛)携夫人组团专程赴厦门参观傅新民现代艺术作品。作品的巨大感染力和震撼力使大使和夫人们激动不已,连声惊叹。

 

2009年9月至10月2009年9月至10月
★2009年9月至10月,傅新民在北京798举办现代雕塑、现代水墨画大型个人展览,表达一代人的心声,向共和国六十周年大庆献礼。此次个展比较完整地呈现了傅新民现代艺术创作的全貌,艺术界众多的专家、名流对其创作给予高度评价和热烈推崇。共展出作品300余件,展览场所占地7000多平米,展览的规模和影响力均创建国以来个人展览之最。

 


★2010年8月,清华大学百年校庆“国际校园雕塑大展”在全球范围内征稿。最后从几千件作品中评选出100件,其中国外作品40件,国内作品60件,傅新民的参选作品“凝固的风景No.11”入选成为“清华百年校庆校园雕塑”精品之一。

 

★2011年9月12日,位于厦门五缘湾的新萌现代艺术馆开馆,一百多余件藏品全部为傅新民先生的现代雕塑、现代水墨画作品。该艺术馆为目前中国唯一的大规模、高品质、有系统艺术理念和众多作品系列的个人当代艺术馆,占地三千五百平米。馆内陈列作品作品共分为12个系列,构思新颖灵动,造型独特,将“人与自然”、“现代工业文明的困境”、“精神家园的守护”、“人类未来的展望”等主题做了全面的呈现。


★2013年12月,在福建雕塑学会成立大会上,傅新民先生因在现代雕塑和艺术方面的卓越成就、广泛的社会影响及对公共艺术事业的热忱付出,得到省内雕塑艺术业界的一致推崇,被推选为福建省雕塑学会会长。
